Located in a historic building in the first official neighborhood of Minneapolis, Alma has been welcoming guests with authentic hospitality and diverse contemporary American cooking for nearly two decades. Restaurant Alma was opened in 1999 by Chef Alex Roberts in a historic firehouse and an adjacent speedboat factory. Alma's remodeled Cafe and Hotel opened in 2016.

The Challenge: To preserve the historical presence of Alma while showcasing its innovation on the national stage.

Making mouths water by inviting some of the country's most well known food journalists and blogger water to experience Alma first-hand.

Rediscovering a whole new history

In 2016, we introduced the new Alma: Cafe, Hotel and Restaurant to local and national members of the media while preserving Alma's historical reputation in Minneapolis' first neighborhood.

We reminded members of the food community and influencers alike exactly why Chef Alex Roberts is a FOUR-time James Beard winner by showcasing his expertise across some of the most well known local and national media outlets.

We enticed influencers with some of the most 'gramworthy' aesthetics and visuals that created a social buzz and drove restaurant and cafe traffic.
